I began studying Psychology at College in England and then continued at University where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in both Law and Psychology. I then re-located to Canada where I volunteered at various organizations such as the Surrey Crisis Line, the Surrey School District, Burnaby Youth Open Custody Centre and Surrey RCMP Victim Services.
Following this I enrolled in the Master of Arts Counselling Psychology program at City University of Seattle. I graduated in 2008 and then registered with the BCACC (BC Association of Clinical Counsellors) as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I have been working with children, youth, couples and families for over 17 years. My experience includes working extensively in the Surrey School District (elementary, high school and learning centers), working with families through the Ministry of Children and Family Development, as a Clinical Counsellor through Interior Health, a Student Counsellor at University of British Columbia (Okanagan Campus), as well as facilitating groups and providing clinical counselling to individuals, couples and families through my private practice (including counselling through Employee/Family Assistance Programs – EAP/EFAP). Additionally, I also worked with lawyers and clients through ICBC who suffered from concerns due to motor vehicle accidents such as anxiety, depression post traumatic stress and developed a return to work plan.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going out to eat, taking our dog on hikes, and catching up on my favorite TV shows and movies.
I would like to invite you to contact me if you have any questions.
